When Commander came to our doors, our Shelter Medicine Team was shocked. This sweet 8-month-old puppy was extremely underweight, with every rib, vertebrae, and hip bone easily visible, and was missing fur in large spots on his legs. Our team also discovered that he had an upper respiratory infection that had gone untreated. He had significant nasal discharge and began to develop a concerning cough.
Our expert Shelter Medicine Team was able to nurse Commander back to health. Soon, this brave pup perked up and his happy, playful self emerged.
